David has been working as a professional photographer since 1988, firstly on the Leicester Mercury, where he qualified as an NCTJ Senior Photographer. Freelance since 1991, he has worked for many prestigious publications, including the Guardian, the Sunday Times, the Independent, Marie Claire, (where he was contributing editor) Elle, 'M' magazine, Focus and numerous other international journals.
His inspiration is the beauty and diversity in the world around him. David has won many awards for his photography, including a World Press Photo award - for a picture of a cosmonaut in his underwear. Presently David is the Photography Director of duckrabbit ltd and is Senior Lecturer on the Falmouth Press and Editorial photography BA.
